2023 March - Bayer AG

Bayer AG is a multinational chemical and pharmaceutical company headquartered in Leverkusen, Germany. It is one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world, and is active in the healthcare, agriculture, and consumer health sectors.

The company is managed by a board of management, led by the CEO, Werner Baumann. The board is responsible for the strategic direction of the company and for ensuring its long-term success. The company consists of over 230 companies across almost 80 different countries. This shows the inmense size and reach of this company.

In terms of financials, in 2021, Bayer reported revenue of €41.4 billion, which represents a 1.9% increase compared to the previous year. The company also reported a net income of €2.9 billion in 2021. The company's cash flow from operating activities was €8.8 billion in 2021, compared to €7.6 billion in 2020. This shows an huge increase in my opinion.

Looking ahead to the upcoming year, Bayer has a positive outlook for its business. The company is expected to continue to benefit from its strong position in the healthcare and agriculture sectors, and is investing heavily in research and development to drive growth in these areas. Due to the recent pandemic i'm very interested in companies from the healthcare-sector.

Bayer pays dividends to its shareholders, with a current dividend yield of around 2%. The company has a history of increasing its dividend payments over time, which is a positive sign for investors looking for steady income. The eToro-page shows a dividend yield of ~4% which is even higher. I think it is safe to assume that the dividend yield will only increase over the years. The only thing that could slow it's growth is a lawsuit, but i'll explain further down in the text.

One argument for investing in Bayer is the company's strong position in the healthcare and agriculture sectors. As the world's population continues to grow, the demand for healthcare and food will only increase, which could benefit Bayer in the long run. Additionally, the company's focus on research and development means that it is well-positioned to develop new products and services that could drive future growth.

One argument against investing in Bayer is the potential risks associated with its business. The company faces regulatory risks, as well as the risk of lawsuits related to its products. However, it is worth noting that Bayer has a strong track record of managing these risks and has taken steps to address them. These risks always play a role whilst investing in healthcare-companies. Regardless of the lawsuits, this sector is said to be one of the more stable ones.

In conclusion, Bayer AG is a large and well-established company that is active in the healthcare, agriculture, and consumer health sectors. The company has a positive outlook for the future and pays a steady dividend to its shareholders. While there are potential risks associated with investing in Bayer, the company's strong position in its sectors and focus on research and development make it an attractive investment opportunity for those with a long-term perspective.
